London Photo 24

On the 11st/2nd July Photography News held a 24 hour Photo event in London. Sign ups by email several weeks ago. Various events were offered within the 24 hours and yes I did manage the whole 24 hours without sleep…

Love on The Anvil

Each year the National Trust hold a Wood Festival at Hatfield Forest in Essex. For many years a local blacksmith A.J.Window has been there forging items for sales on the day. One of the popular items are the hearts forged on over the anvil and are quite interesting to watch being made.

Thaxted Guild Hall

A very old building sited in the village of Thaxted. Thaxted Guild Hall. The hall is still in use for meetings and is well preserved for its age. The outside is limed to preserve the old oak beams and are not an object to lean on after this process.
